Who are we and what do we do?

Jay County Christian Home Builders, Inc. (JCCHB) is a faith-based organization devoted to building safe, affordable homes for families in need who qualify. We are honored to serve Jay County and the surrounding areas, and we remain committed to addressing the growing need for housing in our community.

We are grateful to have available lots in Jay County to build on, which we see as a true blessing. Our passion continues to be serving families through home construction—today and in the future. You’ll be seeing and hearing more from us. Look for our logo, visit our website, and stay tuned for radio interviews, flyers, letters, and articles in the local newspaper.

As we move forward, we will be reaching out to the community for support. This includes welcoming donations and inviting those who are interested in joining us as we build. As many know, the need for housing continues to grow—and together, we can help meet that need.

Meet Qualifications

We required an minimum annual income of $35,000. The ability to pass a background and submit to a credit check.

Get involved

Prospective Homeowners need to be willing to partner with JCHB throughout the process. This partnership includes helping to build their own home or the homes of others in our homeownership program.

Join Us in Building a Stronger Jay County

Jay County Christian Home Builders (JCCHB), formerly Habitat for Humanity of Jay County, is currently seeking dedicated board members and volunteers to help guide and grow our organization.

We are preparing to build homes within Jay County in the near future. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable housing to individuals and families — whether they are starting fresh, rebuilding, or simply looking to downsize into a more manageable space.

Our board meets once a month for approximately one hour to discuss current projects and organizational needs. We are blessed with several properties throughout Jay County, ready for development. With the growing housing shortage in our county, the need is urgent — and with your involvement, we can take meaningful action.
